KV AFS Begumpet, Hyderabad is known for its high quality education,greenery, infrastructure and vast play grounds.

Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Begumpet was established in the year 1982 with classes from I to VIII in the barracks of Air Force Station premises. . It was housed in the Air force station premises & was upgraded subsequently to Class XII with four sections until X Class .Like a tender sapling growing into a huge tree spreading out its branches the vidyalaya has grown in leaps and bounds . The vidyalaya entered its own building on January 1st 1996. It caters to the needs of the present generation of students with two branches at +2 level . It has Science stream with IP ,AI and Commerce groups. The vidyalaya‘s popularity is reflected by its mammoth strength of nearly 2000 with four sections.

Location: The school has gained prominence by being centrally located on the Mumbai Highway. It is located at New Bowenpally, Balanagar Road just 7kms from Secunderabad station. Its close proximity to Institutes like BHEL R&D , NRSC, HAL, IDPL , Indian Air Lines and a little away from the JNTU is an added advantage.

A strong foundation decides the longevity of a building. Similarly teachers, the back-bone of an educational Institution provide the unshakable support for its sustenance . The vidyalaya has well-experienced, dedicated staff strength of 80members.The worth of a man is known by the effect of his effort.No doubt, the staff and students of KV Begumpet leave no stone unturned to prove their worth .They work hard day and night to get the best result in CBSE Boards. The vidyalaya maintains a good academic track record by securing good results and high percentage at 10th and 12th Boards.

The school has got many laurels to its credit like ‘ Haritha Haram’ a state government initiative for tye maintenance of greenery and won Award from IGBC( Indian Green Building Council) for last three years for maintaining sustainable environment for all.
